Jodi J. Rosenquist

Jodi J. Rosenquist (Hoins) age 49 passed away at Bryan LGH East on Wednesday April 20 2016. Jodi was born on July 2 1966 in Aurora Ne to Darrell and Linda Ruttman Hoins. She graduated from Deshler High School in 1985. She attended Joseph College of Beauty in Hastings for two years and then worked at Donnas Personal Touch in Shickley. She also waitressed in Strang at the Café. She lived in Ong for a little while after graduating but then moved to Shickley for the remainder of her life. She spent most of her years after her children were born being a stay at home mom and babysitting neighborhood kids. Jodi’s family was the most important thing to her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She met her husband Bob through her sister Lori and her husband Joe. They were married March 11, 1989 in the Shickley United Methodist Church. They had two children, Brooklyn and Logan. Her granddaughter Alia was the light of her life. After spending the day babysitting her she would still come over in the evening to play with her some more. Jodi was very active in her family and friends lives. She always cared what was going on in their lives. Her friends she considered her extended family, there was never a stranger in her life and once she had met you, you were family to her. Anyone who was Brook or Logan’s friends she considered her (adoptive) children. She was a very generous person, and helped anyone in need. Jodi loved being outdoors. She loved to go camping, and having bonfires in her yard. Anyone was invited over and there was always enough hot dogs and marshmallows. She also enjoyed going to the horse races and car races. Jodi was very loved and will be terribly missed by all. Jodi was preceded in death by her parents Darrell and Linda Hoins, and her sister Lori Rush. She is survived by her husband Bob, daughters Brook Gamboa and husband Francisco, and Logan Rosenquist, granddaughter Alia, and brothers Daniel Hoins and Todd Hoins. Also nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Memorial services for Jodi will be 2:00 p.m. April 25, 2016, at the United Methodist Church in Shickley, Nebraska with Pastor Scharleen Cross officiating. No Visitation - Cremation Memorials are directed to the family for later designation.
