Larry R. Kelly Jr.

The Family of Larry will have a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Grafton Community Center in Grafton, Nebraska. Farmer & Son Funeral Home is not in charge of the Celebration of Life Service for Larry. If you have any questions please get in touch with Larry's family. It was Larry's wishes to be cremated and no visitation will be held. Memorials are to be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Larry R Kelly Jr. was born to Larry R. Kelly Sr. and Alvina Whitton on August 21, 1971 at Topeka, Kansas, and passed away January 28, 2024 at Bryan West in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 52. Larry was one of three children in the family. Larry graduated high school in Geneva, Nebraska. From there he enlisted into the United States Army serving from 1991-1993. He was stationed in Panama as an Ammunition Specialist. Next, he enlisted into the Marine Corp. serving his country from 1996-2004. He was stationed in Hawaii as a Weather Observer. He was very proud to be a Marine and have served his country. He was employed at Sargent Drilling in Geneva, Nebraska for fifteen plus years. Larry enjoyed living life as it came. He loved his 80’s hair bands, playing his music loud enough for the neighbors to hear it. He enjoyed traveling, recently traveling to Vegas experiencing the Fremont Street, and South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse. He spent time with family and friends either camping, fishing or celebrations. One of his favorite holidays was 4th of July. He was a big fan of Nebraska Football. He married Denise Murphy on March 17, 2013 till her passing in 2022. He was proud to have been able to help raise Adam, Avery, and Austin. He was delighted to also be a grandpa. Larry and Peggy Lovgren reconnected in 2022. On July 29, 2023 Larry and Peggy Lovgren were married. He was preceded in death by Mother Alvina Whitton, his late wife Denise Kelly, two uncles and one aunt. He is survived by wife Peggy Kelly, Father Larry Kelly Sr. (Barbara), Brother Robert Kelly and sister Marianna Rockford, Five Step sons: Adam Johnson, Avery Besselievre, Austin Besselievre, Parker Lovgren, Braiden Lovgren, Five grandkids, one niece, and two nephews, two uncles and one Aunt. Along with a host of other family and friends.
