Sharron J. Arbuck

Sharron J. Arbuck, age 87 of Fairmont, Nebraska died Friday, February 13, 2026 in York, Nebraska. She was born on November 10, 1938 to Kenneth and Arlene (Nickerson) Moore in Belleville, Kansas. Sharron graduated from Fairmont High School in 1957. Her greatest joy here was Drum Majorette and being a Cheerleader. She married Bernard M. Arbuck on August 10, 1958 at the Methodist Church in Fairmont, Nebraska. Bernard and Sharron farmed for many years north of Fairmont. They welcomed their son Jason in 1972. Sharron had a beauty shop in Geneva, Nebraska for 10 years and she worked part time at Wagner Decorating Store and at Geneva Floral in her spare time. She did a lot of beautiful floral arrangements. Sharron loved playing Bridge with her friends. She was a member of York Quilt Guild and a member of P.E.O in Fairmont, Nebraska. Sharron was a wonderful cook feeding the help on the farm, and one of the farms hand stated her meals were “meals fit for a king.” Sharron also helped farm with her husband Bernard. Sharron’s greatest joy was her family and get togethers were special for her. She loved life and laughter. She never missed sporting events her son and grandchildren were involved in. Sharron is survived by her husband, Bernard; son, Jason (Ashley) Arbuck of Fairmont, and five grandchildren, Krynn, Trajan, Langdon, Grayson, and Karch. Other survivors include her sister-in-law, Charlene Olson Vice of York, Nebraska; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Sharron was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters & brothers-in-law, Marilyn & Marvin Nichols and Linda & Paul Adams. A memorial service for Sharron was held Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fairmont Community Church in Fairmont, Nebraska. Kim Dunker presided over the memorial service. There will be a private committal of ashes at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery in York, Nebraska Robin Galusha was the organist and she accompanied the congregation in the singing of “How Great Thou Art.” The recorded selection “I Can Only Imagine” was played at the conclusion of the memorial service. Honorary pallbearers included Trajan Arbuck, Langdon Arbuck, Greg Adams, Dave Adams, Scott Nichols, Todd Nichols, and Bob Olson.
