    May 19, 1927 - July 29, 2012

    Funeral services for Marlin will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Prince Of Peace Lutheran Church in Geneva. Pastor Becky Sells will be officiating the service. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, August 2, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family to greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva. Memorials are directed to the Prince Of Peace Lutheran Church or the Geneva Public Library. Marlin W. Bahe was born on May 19, 1927 at a farm place near Ohiowa, NE to John F. and Wilhelmina S. (Matthies) Bahe. He passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at his home at the age of 85 years, 2 months, and 10 days. Marlin was one of 3 children born in the family. Marlin was baptized and confirmed in the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ohiowa, Nebraska. In 1945 he graduated from high school in Alexandria, Nebraska. Marlin was married to Evelyn “Jeanene” Kamler on June 20, 1956 and to this union 2 children were born; Scott and Lynette. After several years of farming, Marlin worked as the Office Manager/Secretary & Treasurer for the W.A. Biba Engineering Company in Geneva. After working over 27 years at Biba Engineering, Marlin worked for Geneva Redi-Mix and later served as the York County Highway Superintendent. Marlin enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting his entire life. He was known to be quick with a joke and enjoyed the company of his friends. He retired to a life of enjoying his birds, reading, and his greatest passion, gardening. He was especially proud of his tomatoes and enjoyed all the people that visited for produce. Marlin was preceded in death by his wife Jeanene; by his parents; brother Mervil; and sister Mildred (Bill) George. He is survived by his daughter Lynette (Tom) Kahler of York; son Scott (Linda) Bahe of Gothenburg; and three grandchildren Peyton (Courtney) Bahe, Ryan Bahe, and Levi Bahe.
