Graveside Services for Elaine will be held on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Geneva Public Cemetery with Kim Dunker officiating. No Visitation. Memorials are to be directed to the family for a later designation. (Norma) Elaine Ketter Lopez was born to Clarence L. and Dorothy J. (Dunham) Ketter on February 13, 1947 at Maryville, Missouri and passed away on September 7, 2016 at her home in Kearney, Nebraska at the age of 69 years – 6 month and 25 days. She was the older of 2 girls. Elaine graduated from Geneva High School and the Grand Island Business School. In 1968 she was married to Tom Strothkamp and to this union 2 children were born, Tammy in 1968 and Trent in 1980. Being a sun worshiper the family moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1972, this is where they made their home for the next 40 years. While in Phoenix she worked at St. Luke’s Hospital and Metro Surgery Center. Elaine was passionate about her work, the gym and her family. In September of 2013 it was time to come home to Nebraska, where she spent the last three years doing volunteer work and traveling. Her parents, Clarence L. and Dorothy J. Ketter, preceded her in death. Elaine is survived by her husband Phillip; daughter, Tammy and Husband (Lee) of Texas; son, Trent and wife, Tiffany of Texas; a stepdaughter, Desiree of Colorado; 2 step granddaughters, Rochelle and Hannah; 3 grandkids, Kiarah, Makarah and Jedrek; sister, Pat Urbauer and husband, Larry; nephew, Jeff Ortgies and family and numerous family and friends.
