A Celebration of Life for Beau will be August 17, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Crooked Creek Country Club in Lincoln, Nebraska. A Private Committal of Ashes was held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Geneva Public Cemetery in Geneva, Nebraska. Pastor Jeff Jensen presided over the Service. Memorials are suggested to the Family for future designation. Beau D. Cruse, age 37, of Lincoln, Nebraska., passed away on May 29, 2025, at his home in Lincoln. He was born to Marc and Lynne (Schuchart) Cruse on August 17, 1987, in Lincoln. A private Committal of Ashes will be held in the Geneva Public Cemetery, Geneva, Nebraska. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Beau is survived by his daughter, Alyka Gubbels; parents, Marc and Lynne Cruse; brothers, Rocky Cruse and Jay Cruse; sister, Taylor and Tyson Billings; grandmother, Millie Cruse. Beau Derek Cruse was born on August 17, 1987, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Marc Douglas and Lynne Marie (Schuchart) Cruse. He passed away peacefully at his home in Lincoln on May 29, 2025, at the age of 37 years, 9 months, and 12 days. One of four children, Beau grew up in Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln East High School in 2005. A talented athlete, he excelled in soccer and continued playing throughout college at Morningside College, where he graduated in 2009 with a degree in business. Following college, Beau pursued a career in both the restaurant and golf industries. His true pride and joy, however, was his daughter, Alyka Gubbels, born April 6, 2009. Beau cherished every moment spent with Alyka and held their bond close to his heart. Sports remained a lifelong passion. He avidly followed soccer, football, and golf, and even returned to the soccer field as a youth coach while living in Omaha. His favorite teams included the New Orleans Saints and Manchester United. Beau’s vibrant personality was reflected in the things he loved: spending time with his dog Breezy, watching Marvel films—especially the X-Men, Avengers, Captain America, and Deadpool & Wolverine series—and playing the drums in his younger years. He had a fondness for the color blue, lucky numbers 3 and 8, and favorite foods like potatoes and wings. Though Beau’s time on Earth was short, his impact was deep and lasting. His family and friends will miss him dearly but find comfort in knowing he is at peace and free from pain. Beau was preceded in death by his grandfather George Cruse, aunt Barb Nunnenkamp, and grandparents Robert and Delores Schuchart. He is survived by his parents, Marc and Lynne Cruse; his daughter, Alyka Gubbels; brothers, Rocky Cruse and Jay Cruse & wife, Kylie; sister, Taylor Billings; grandmother, Millie Cruse; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
