Eric J. Hill

It was Eric's wish to be cremated. No services will be held at this time. Eric James Hill, the son of Justin D. and Doris (Wolford) Hill, was born at Great Plains Medical Center in North Platte, Nebraska on August 25, 1979 and passed away on May 6, 2026 at his home in Fairmont, NE. He was baptized in Keystone, Nebraska and then re-Baptized on March 29, 2026 at the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Seward, Nebraska. Eric was blessed to be united in marriage with the love of his life, Emily Jean Yearley of Goehner in 2018. Eric is preceded in death by his wife, Emily Jean (Yearley) Hill, who passed away February 15, 2026, and two unborn children he and Emily had hoped to welcome into the world (Benjamin Hill and Rose Hill). He also is preceded in death by his father, Justin (Jodie) D Hill, Sr., his cousin, Christina Harbur of Brady, Nebraska and both maternal and fraternal grandparents and numerous other relatives. Eric is survived by his mother, Doris J (Wolford) Hill of Ann Arbor, Michigan, his brother, Justin D. Hill, Jr & his wife, Darcie (VanSickle) of Pinckney, Michigan, his sister, Dr. Shannon R. (Hill) and husband, Cody Keiser (and nephews Owen and Elijah and niece, Evalyn) of Whitehouse, Ohio. He is also survived by his cousin, Brad Ward (and family) of North Platte, Nebraska, his fraternal grandmother, Donna Beck of Paxton, Nebraska and his Aunt Dee (Wolford) (Doris’s twin sister) and husband Tom Ward of Maxwell, Nebraska plus numerous other Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and some friends. Eric (and Emily) enjoyed a variety of hobbies including gardening and canning food from their garden, playing video games and watching movies, hiking, collecting items, fishing and more. They enjoyed their pet cats and ducks immensely. Eric loved family. In his final years, Eric grew into the life he had always sought. He was a man with a tender heart and sweet smile that was contagious to those around him. His sense of dry humor and clean jokes lit up any room he entered. He was genuine and authentic. He closed the door of this life with a strong dedication and love for his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
