Daughter of Julia (Block) Martin A Memorial Service for Jennifer will be Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva. Kim Dunker will preside over the Memorial Service. A private Committal of Ashes will take place at Fairmont Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are suggested to York-Adopt-A-Pet. Jennifer Marie Martin, age 52, passed away peacefully at home on July 9, 2025, with loved ones by her side. She was born on October 10, 1972, at Fort Gordon, Georgia, to Leslie and Julia Martin, and was their only child. As the daughter of a military family, Jennifer spent much of her childhood living abroad. These early experiences broadened her worldview, shaping her open-mindedness, curiosity, and deep appreciation for different cultures and ways of life. She carried this sense of connection and understanding with her throughout her life. A survivor of childhood cancer, Jennifer understood courage from a young age. The experience shaped how she lived, never letting fear stand in the way of trying something new or stepping into the unknown. Jennifer had a lifelong love of crafting and creativity, a talent she shared with her mother. She was especially drawn to art forms that required patience and precision, spending hours folding origami into delicate ornaments, creating nail art with sparkling jewels and vibrant colors, or crocheting skeins of yarn into beautiful scarves and blankets. Her biggest joy, however, wasn’t in the making of these items, but in giving her handmade creations to those she loved. Another passion of Jennifer’s was technology and gaming. As a young adult, she bonded with her father over building custom computer systems at a time when the technology was still emerging. That interest grew into a love for online gaming, where she formed lasting friendships with people from around the world. Above all, Jennifer cherished friendship. She had a rare gift for connecting with people of all ages and backgrounds. Her genuine interest in others and willingness to engage with what mattered to them made it easy for her to form meaningful friendships wherever she went. Jennifer was never happier than when she was with her family and friends. Jennifer is survived by her mother, Julia Martin, and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Leslie Martin; her grandparents Richard and Roberta Martin; and her grandparents John and Elsie Block.
