A Funeral Service for Marjorie will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Shickley, Nebraska with Pastor James Moll presiding. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the funeral service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Zion Lutheran Church in Shickley, Nebraska. Graveside Services will be held at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in rural Shickley, Nebraska. Memorials are to be directed to the Zion Lutheran Church. Marjorie was born on March 15th, 1922, to John Reinsch and Marie Mayer Reinsch on their family farm near Shickley. She passed away on March 5, 2024, at Brookestone Village in Omaha, Nebraska, just ten days short of her 102nd birthday. Marge, along with her two brothers and two sisters, attended District 92 Country School, one mile east of their farm. She graduated from Geneva High School in 1939. Marge married Henry Hesse of Shickley on February 4, 1942. At that time, she joined Zion Lutheran Church in Shickley where she was active in Ladies Aid and teaching Sunday School. She was a faithful member until moving to Omaha in 2013. Marge and Hank raised two children, Jim born in 1943 and Kathy in 1945. They also had two stillborn boys, one born in 1949 and the other in 1951. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Marge enjoyed being a farm wife and helping with all farm activities and chores. She was a 4H leader for many years, helping others learn to sew, cook, and bake. She and Hank enjoyed dancing of every kind and traveling. They took many bus trips to various places in the United States. Marge was an excellent quilter. She and Hank moved from the farm in 1984 into a house they had built in Shickley. Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Hank; her son Jim; two stillborn sons; her parents John and Marie Reinsch; her brother, Robert Reinsch; brother and sister-in-law Elmer and Theresa Reinsch; her sister and brother-in-law Mike and John Maloney; and brother-in-law Virgil Kress. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Jim Rudd of Omaha, NE; daughter-in-law Pat Harder and husband Larry Harder of Lincoln, NE, granddaughter Jodi Poos and husband Kevin Poos of Platte City, MO; granddaughter Pam Zegers and husband Ryan Zegers of Denton, NE; grandson Tom Jiede and wife Valerie Jiede of Dallas, TX; granddaughter Kim Carbee and husband Jason Carbee of Omaha, NE; Kara Swartz of Omaha, NE; great grandchildren, Erin, Ryann, Patrick, Drew, Luke, Jacob, Allie, Lauren, Elizabeth, and Henry; sister Dotty Kress of Mundelein, IL; sister-in-law Margaret Reinsch of Lincoln, NE. and many nieces and nephews.
