Funeral services 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Fairmont Community Church in Fairmont. Visitation from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, at the Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva. Interment in Fairmont Public Cemetery. Memorials in care of the family in lieu of flowers. Sharon (Tutty) Krejci was born, to John W Tutty and Olletta A. (Behrens) Tutty on February 26, 1938, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Sharon grew up in Fairmont and graduated from Fairmont High School in May of 1956. When she was in high school she worked at Mumby’s Café , for Robert and Lila Bettger and did a lot of babysitting. After graduation she stayed home and helped around the house for a time and then worked in Lincoln. Sharon met Ron Krejci and they were married March 29, 1960. They were blessed with three children, John, Sheryl and Ken. Together they made home and built the family farm south of Fairmont, Ken continues to operate the family farm. She continued to lived on the home place until her death. Sharon’s pride and joy was her two granddaughters, Jamie and Kelsie Goc. She spent every moment she could with them and as they grew she spent endless hours and drove many miles to attend every event the girl’s were participating in. She even went with them to Canada for a choir trip. She bragged on her girl’s and you could see the pride in her face when she talked about them both now being in college. Sharon survived cancer in 1989 and had spent the last 19 years volunteering for the Fillmore County Chapter of the American Cancer Society. Every year, walking the survivor lap was a very proud moment that she had survived this disease and was helping to raise money to help others fight cancer and find a cure. She was also a Reach to Recovery Volunteer for the American Cancer Society. Even thought she could no longer donate blood she never missed an American Red Cross Blood mobile in Fairmont. She volunteered for several years as an escort. She served on the Geneva Township Election Board, was a member of the Geneva Community Grange, the Fairmont Community Church and West Blue Aid Society. She was a GFWC Fairmont Women’s Club member for 27 years and was the “Member of the Month” in September 2011. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ronald, son John, brothers Huebert and John Tutty, brother-in-laws Don Moul and Guy Brown, sister-in-law Ione Krejci and nephew Brian Moul. Sharon is survived by daughter Sheryl Callahan and her husband Will Callahan of Brady, Ken Krejci of Fairmont , sister Shirley Moul of Fairmont, sister-in-law Lorene Brown of Lincoln, granddaughters Jamie Goc of Neligh and Kelsie Goc Brady. Neices, nephews and many friends.
